The City Escape Shuttle Service provides reliable transportation to Great Falls Park, VA for individuals, families, and groups in the DMV metro area.

City Escape Shuttle Service is operated under the DMV Socialites Club, a veteran and family-owned business. As outdoors lovers, our goal is to connect more people to one of Virginia’s treasured parks.

FAQs

  • There are two types of people who will find the City Escape Shuttle especially helpful — DMV residents and visitors without access to a vehicle. Great Falls is located outside of the DC metro-verse, so finding reliable transportation can be tough.

  • Purchasers must be at least 18 years old. Unaccompanied minors are not permitted on City Escape shuttles. Children aged 3 and under may ride for free on the lap of a parent or guardian. Passengers must be at least 18 years old to be designated as a guardian.

  • Great Falls offers a variety of flat trails and more uneven terrain for different skill levels. Check out the Park Map page for more details to choose your adventure! Some views require a moderate level of endurance to navigate over large rocks, roots, and other obstacles protruding from the ground. The good news is that you can enjoy the overlook of the falls while walking over a relatively flat surface (taking a small set of stairs may be required).

  • City Escape is a small, veteran-owned startup company. We’re still fairly new, but we are fully reliable and committed to a great experience for our passengers.

  • You’ll find the most useful information on the Great Falls website at https://www.nps.gov/grfa/index.htm.

    It’s vital to wear comfortable clothing and shoes and to plan ahead for the shuttle. Sticking to scheduled departure allows us to respect the time and experiences of all our guests. Passengers should also note that cell service at Great Falls is not always readily available.

  • Pre-season ticket sales will take place from 6-24 January 2026. These sales will allow flexible redemption for any time while operations are ongoing in 2026 (specific redemption details will be given to purchasers). Regular season ticket sales will start later in February 2026.
